Good analysis, Tony. One bullet you left out when it comes to why bosses steal subordinate's ideas -- Ego! There are bosses, who do not like the one upmanship and want to make it appear that all the great ideas are generated by them. The bottom line is that people usually know that the one at the top is most often not the generator of all things great.

In my experience, bad bosses are the single biggest contributor to key talent turnover. One of three things generally happen in these cases: the good employee leaves, the boss gets transferred or demoted, or he is coached and developed to improve behavior.

You are right Sheila. Leadership is a journey and an obedience to our inner voice. The journey, in some cases, may be more of a blessing than the arrival. Don't ever give up. Thanks again for your comment and support.

Wow...Here I am, send me. I am called to leadership, but I am learning more and more about leading where...the send me has not kickied in fully...at least not yet...but I am willing and able to do it. Moreso, I am chosen to lead...

Not always easy to do, but necessary to be obedient.

I am still reading the Spiritual Intelligent Leader, but I am intrigued by your post. I am finding myself telling lots of stories these days to the young leaders/managers I supervise. I not only have stories about my own past/present and future as a leader/manager...but I have great history with the organziation and find myself as the mediator betweeen the directors and managers...even while sitting at the directors table. I understand the managers...

Wow...isn't it just like God to take you on a journey in which you set out to help others (which you have) and in return find more of your authentic self...Now that is beautiful...God does not do things the way we do them does he. He asks us to seek Him and trust Him without seeking understanding and then He reveals Himself to us in a whole new way...

I am excited for you Tony. I am on a similar journey so I will follow you to the other site and keep this one close as well..

Again thanks for your obedience. Many are called, but few are chosen...You are stepping up to heed His call, taking your rightful place at this time in your life which is in the center of His will...God Bless.

That really touched me...You are right Tony, God does give the assignment and I believe that is beyond what we can imagine as well. I believe he has chosen all of us to lead in some way, but what we are to lead in is all up to Him. I know for me, once I allowed Him to lead me, I am doing things that I never even dreamed. I am finishing my first book, going for that D.Min and looking forward to whatever else He has in store for me...Letting Him have his way is uncomfortable at times and to whom much is given much is required for sure, but what I am finding out the most is that I must give myself fully to God and His people to see my true paths. I had to let go of self and even though I am still in that process---I am in awe of what He has revealed to me thus far...

God Bless you and your journey Tony---you have been a true blessing and obedient to God in you leadership with me...you showed me that Spiritual Leadership is possible...Thank you for your obedience in helping to build Gods leader in me.

Sheila
